We have a puppy!

Sort of...we dressed up Griffin as one for Halloween :)

We headed to our favorite local Chicago Park District Playground, Commercial Park, for a Halloween Party and Parade. We met our friends the Finnegans there...I mean Snow White and a cute little Monkey. It was packed and all the kiddos at the party looked so great in their costumes.

Our little puppy didn't seem to mind the costume and didn't even fight the hood with the ears too much. After the party we headed around the block for trick-or-treating and Griffin somehow got his first taste of candy. We think our little puppy was adorable.

Sadly, no dogs were allowed on the baseball field :)

Family Trip to the Childrens Museum

Last week the whole family headed to the Chicago Children's Museum. We had so much fun that we joined that day and we plan to spend lots of time there (especially during the upcoming winter months) exploring all of the wonderful things they have at the Museum.

They have a replica fire truck that Griffin really liked. He was a little small for the Fireman hats and boots but there is time to grow into them.

You might not be able to read the hat but it says "Engineer" :)
They have a room called 'Water Works' that was by far the most fun for all of us. They have little rain jackets for the kids so that they don't get soaked...
Griffin ended up soaked anyway--but had a ball!

10.10.10. Daddy runs the Chicago Marathon

We are beyond proud of Dad who on 10.10.10. ran the Chicago Marathon in 3 hours and 56 minutes. It was really fun to go all around the city and cheer him on. But he did all the hard work running for almost 4 hours.

It ended up being a hot day to run 26.2 miles and we congratulate all the runners on their determination and success.

Fall Activities and Wardrobe

Fall has arrived and so has a bevy of new activities and clothes for Griffin.

We have storytime at the new library that opened right near our house...

And twice a week we have playgroup at one of the parks near us where we get to play with lots of new toys and other kids. Although most of the kids barely notice each other right now.

We think little sweaters are the cutest thing, especially the hoodie one that makes his adorable cheeks look even more adorable.

We got him a new coat for winter just in time for a very cool Fall morning. He obviously is thrilled about the hood. And a great gift of a Fall vest will come in very handy.

Last, but not least, one of my personal favorites...nice and warm
feetie and fuzzy pajamas.
