Griffin eats oatmeal!

A couple of weeks ago (when he was just about 5 months old) we gave Griffin his first taste of real food...oatmeal. He wears most of it but does seem to enjoy it when he gets some in his mouth. He really likes to grab the spoon and the bowl and cover himself in oatmeal. Yummy!

Giant Teddy Bear Video

I didn't even mean to take this video but the video setting was on the camera when I went to snap a picture. It was so cute that I just kept it going. And this isn't a new favorite song, I just made it up on the spot. Dad thinks that I might be losing it since I only sing kids songs and songs I make up for Griffin to get him to smile and laugh. La, la, la, la la :) Enjoy.

Twenty-Ten

Happy New Year! Griffin is now 4 months old and has even celebrated his first New Year's Eve. He is weighing in at 16 lbs 8 ozs (90%) and is 26.5 inches tall (80%) and working on sitting all by himself. He can do it for a little while before he topples over. It won't be long now!

We haven't captured it yet but he now makes raspberries with his little mouth. It is hilarious and he sometimes cracks himself up doing it. But the drool sprays everywhere!

Griffin's First Christmas

Griffin's First Christmas was great...for us. For Griff, it really wasn't different from any other day. We are looking forward to seeing how different he will be next year. And Griffin gave us the best Christmas present ever...he slept for 12 hours Christmas night. It has only happened again once since then but it is nice to know that he can do it.

We spent a few days before Christmas in South Carolina at Grandma's house. It was much warmer than Chicago and all three of us really enjoyed being spoiled by Grandma...
Sitting by the river in Beaufort, SC.

Griffin's new hat with reindeer ears.

We went to see the light festival in Charleston...Griffin liked the car radio lights a lot too!

Such a happy boy with Grandma.

And we were back home in Chicago for Christmas Day...
We opened presents in our pj's by the tree.

Dad got the train set he has been wanting. And Griffin actually likes to watch us push the train around. I think we will have lots of fun with it in the years to come.

Cousin Celia (and Oma and Uncle Brahm) came over for Christmas Dinner. I think these two are going to be good friends.

Gary was actually trying to take a nap but Celia just wanted to cuddle. It is hard to remember, but when Celia was a baby, she used to cry when she saw Gary! :)

Thank you Aunt Bekah for making Griffin's stocking. He actually fit in it and thought it was hilarious.
